Computing Technology on the Ramp. FuelsManager® Aviation handheld computers, communicating on the Wifi network or with cellular communications, replace fuel tickets as a means of assigning and recording fueling transactions for your fuelers. They automatically capture fuel load data, reduce the amount of manual data entry and increase the accuracy of recorded transactions. Fuelers now only need to enter the mass units as read on the aircraft gauges. All other required information is automatically populated. Also, throughout the fueling process, updates are sent from the handheld computers to the dispatch system. Completed transactions are sent immediately to the FuelsManager® Aviation server for use throughout the system, including delivery to ACARS on board the aircraft.
Electronic Fuel Ticketing
- Minimize ticketing errors. Validate information as it is entered by the actual fueling operator.
- Streamline fueling operations. Enter fuel ticket data a single time and eliminate time and errors associated with multiple data entry.
- Eliminate paper tickets. Reduce your companies environmental impact by reducing paper consumption.
- Automatically capture metered data. Varec®’s Wireless Data Capture Units (DCUs) interface to both mechanical and electronic fuel meter registers to automatically capture fuel meter values, fuel temperature, filter pressure, flow, interlocks, densitometer and battery status. The information may then be used by other systems to aid transaction calculations and validation.
- Bluetooth technology. Varec®'s Wireless Data Capture Units (DCUs) utilize bluetooth technology - which is a perfect fit for all fuel delivery vehicles, including unpowered, stationary carts. Alternatively, choose other wireless (radio, satellite, ethernet or serial) communications to transfer data as your operations demand.
- Environmentally friendly solar power options. A small gel cell battery and solar panel provide the continuous power required by the DCU for data collection and communication.
- Dock and Upload. If you do not utilize real-time data transfer, your operator is able to record your daily transaction data in the mobile PC or handheld device’s memory. Then, at designated intervals (e.g. once per hour, shift or day) the device can be docked at its communication cradle to upload this information to the FuelsManager® system.
- Mobile Accessories. Each of the mobile computing devices we offer can be expanded using integrated peripherals. Depending on the model chosen, printers, scanners or magnetic card-stripe readers can be easily attached. Your operator has the power to print multiple tickets, validate credit cards or communicate when and where necessary.
