Automated Data Capture
- Mobile PCs and Handheld devices integrate with Data Collection Units installed on the fueling vehicle via wireless communications. The DCUs are able to collect information, such as fuel meter values, fuel temperature, filter pressure, flow, interlocks, densitometer and battery status. The information may then be used by other systems to aid transaction calculations and validation.
- Utilize real-time communications for data transfer. Choices in wireless (radio, satellite, Bluetooth, ethernet or serial) communications allow you to transfer data as your operations demand.
- Dock and Upload. If you do not utilize real-time data transfer, your operator is able to record your daily transaction data in the mobile PC or handheld device’s memory. Then, at designated intervals (e.g. once per hour, shift or day) the device can be docked at its communication cradle to upload this information to the FuelsManager® accounting system.
- Mobile Accessories. Each of the mobile computing devices we offer can be expanded using integrated peripherals. Depending on the model chosen, printers, scanners or magnetic card-stripe readers can be easily attached. Your operator has the power to print multiple tickets, validate credit cards or communicate when and where necessary.
