Bulk Fuels Measurement, Control and Automation
At the local level, FuelsManager Defense provides real-time information to your operator on the status of a single tank or multiple tanks. Features such as configurable tank displays and powerful alarm tools, allow your operators to monitor key information, manage your bulk liquid inventories and react quickly to changing conditions across your facility.
- Predefined display templates show tank data both graphically and alphanumerically; templates include tank details, tank groups, trends and reports.
- Task Groups and Icon Toolbars. Quickly select the groups of functions you require using standard Microsoft Windows elements.
- Dynamic Alarm Management. Improve safety, prevent tank overfills and react to alarms quickly and easily using the new alarm toolbar and alarm alerts.
- Monitor measured and calculated variables, such as levels, temperatures, volumes, flow, etc. and select engineering units for individual variables based on your measuring applications.
- Perform calculations to recognized standards, such as American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 2004 standards, ASTM, IP, GB/T, GOST, JIS, Polynomial and others.
- Schedule gauge commands automatically, such as density profiling or water bottom measurement, for known down times or based on a daily schedule.
- Print or save reports of your daily operations, including inventory, alarms, events, historical data and more.
- Analyze activities using real-time or historical data. In addition to providing real-time information, FuelsManager archives all data for historical use in tracking trends, performing calculations and reporting inventories.
- Integrate FuelsManager with all major instrumentation, such as float & tape, servo, radar or magnetostrictive tank gauges, pressure transmitters, flow meters and leak detection systems from various manufacturers with Varec’s Remote Terminal Unit (8130 RTU) or TankGate Interface (8300 TGI) devices.
- Monitor and control an entire tank farm using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) connected to tank farm instrumentation and control devices, such as flow meters, pumps and valves.
- Custom graphic displays provide your operators with complete control of pipeline receipts, hydrant system control, independent high-level alarm systems, Emergency Fuel Shut-Off (EFSO) and leak detection systems.
- View and track all product movements, totals and discrepancies on a daily basis, including tank-to-tank transfers, shipments, receipts and water drains.
- Compare movement data from different days and archive and print using standard reports and tickets detailing the actual amounts of product moved.
- Plan for “what-if” scenarios, such as inventory movements, using the tank calculator. You are able to manually perform calculations using current tank data without changing any tank values. For example, “What would the level be if 100,000 gallons (378,541 liters) was added?” or “What volume could be added to reach the high level limit?”.
Monitor for leak conditions. Receive alerts
to a potential environmental hazard.- Automate product throughput analysis. Reduce the amount of time and effort
required to estimate tank emissions.
